Job-Sharing Employment Contract

This Job-Sharing Employment Contract provides the option of flexible working where two employees share the job responsibilities of a single full-time job position. The duties of the job share partners may vary, and their entitlement to pay and holidays depend on the number of hours each employee has worked; pay, benefits and leave entitlement for job sharing are allocated on a pro rata basis.

It is the duty of the employer to provide separate agreements to each job share partner; the agreement helps to increase work efficiency by allowing the two employees to bring their own wide range of skills and expertise. Overall, a job-sharing agreement helps companies to increase productivity.

It is a requirement under the Employment Rights Act 1996 for Employers to provide their employees with a written statement of their main terms and conditions of employment. This must be provided within 8 weeks starting from the commencement of Employment.
