This Sitting-out Licence template is for the use of tenants who wish to place tables and chairs on privately owned land outside a restaurant, public house or a café for the benefit of its customers. The tenant must operate within the rights set out in the sitting-out licence; failure to do so, would be a trespass.
Please note that a sitting-out licence does not confer any interests in land, thus does not need to be registered at the Land Registry.
